Lovely personnel, cute room, nice atmosphere, little bit far from the sight, but convenient transportation, so no problems with getting around.
Service & staff were very good. Mine was a double bedroom which had a very tight washroom - similar to that of a TGV loo -- with all facilities cramped together.
Perfect for being just outside of Paris, but not too far away. Right on the bus line into Paris. Hotel staff person was very helpful and informative. Kitchenette convenient for simple reheating of leftovers.
Only thing was it islocated at a very busy roundabout, and traffic was quite noisy, even during the night. Needed the window open for some fresh air.
Good to have the kitchen, fridge and microwave.
The hotel staff was extremely helpful. I also liked the small kitchenette in my room which was very convenient.I would love to go back to this hotel if I visit Paris again.
Toilet was bit small in Standard double room.
Though quite small, the room was really cosy, my wife and I felt great! Sometimes staying alone even in a small room is what we need. The view of the Place Jean-Jaures from the window was also nice. Upon arrival we were given complete instructions how to park nearby, how to get to Paris in the most suitable way, we also received several maps of the local area and a lot of smiling :) In the room we found anything we needed in order to enjoy the best flavors of French wines and foods. BUT - I do not recommend this hotel to fat people, you risk not to fit into the bathroom, it is very small - BUT the staff honestly warns about that upon arrival (and I was told about that in advance when I called to find out some details of my future staying).
I really enjoyed my stay here...I travel alot and for some reason this place felt like a "home away from home." The residence manageress was warm, friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean, bright and airy and a reasonable size for Paris. It also had a microwave and fridge so you could prepare your own meals. An iron was available on request. Within 2-3 minutes walking distance there are some great cafes for breakfast, a small supermarket and a range of restaurants (the Korean one was my favourite). I would highly recommend Hotel Residence to people who like the personal touch, and who are tired of staying in nameless faceless hotels.
It is quite a walk from the metro station (Porte d'Orleans or Chatillon Montrouge), so take the No. 68 bus from either station and it stops right outside the Residence Montrouge. Reception is not 24 hours, but you are given the security code to access the main door (just remember to take it with you if you go out in the evening!)
The lady at check in was excellent! So friendly and helpful (all the staff was excellent). They provide you with clear information about local things including markets, buses and the trains. The room was lovely and we liked having a little kitchenette! Would recommend to everyone who wants to be close to Paris but not in Paris.
We lost the first night because our flight was cancelled. The manageress was very sympathetic and told us on arrival one day late that we wouldn't be charged for that night. She could not have been nicer. The room was very well equipped - though the kitchenette lacked a coffee- maker and a hotplate. It was very small.
As I say, the room was very small. Really, more suitable for one person than for two.
The only positive thing I could see was the position near the Metro station and connection to the exhibition.
The pictures shown on Booked.net are correct but give an idea of larger and cleaner rooms as they really are. Access to second and third floor is possible only through small and steepy stairs. Avoid if you are not trained or have heavy luggage. Bathroom is very small and not confortable. Rooms are facing a busy roundabout and the old windows let all noise come through starting from the early morning. No parking facility around!!! I had to drive 40 minutes to find 400 meters away a parking space on a nearby street.
Efficient. Friendly. Very easy access to businesses visited.
Extremely small. Very noisey with windows open. Hot with windows closed.
Nothing to like really, had to stay for work nearby, and there was not much choice - the hotel is nothing like what is described!
The hotel contacted me right away to try cancel my booking on the pretext that the only room was at the top floor without a lift and that it was not recommended. The true reason was that their advertised rate are much higher and that they would have preferred to charge me more - the hotel was far from being full, I hardly saw anyone there! The staff at the brasserie opposite confirmed that was a sham hotel. During my second week stay (I had no choice but stay there) they charged me another 5euro per night to place me on a lower floor.
De badkamer was zoals een toilet op een vliegtuig ... veel te klein en alles in plastiek.
Chambre petite, SdE tres tres petite...
Accueil, localisation, excellent rapport qualité prix.
